Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Month-End Closing
Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets).
Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, and intercompany balances.
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
· Prepare and analyze Monthly Management Information Systems (MIS) reports for senior leadership.
· Conduct variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) and provide insights into cost savings and revenue optimization.
· Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow projections.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
· Oversee the preparation and timely filing of direct and indirect tax returns [e.g., GST, TDS, Corporate Tax, VAT]
· Ensure complete compliance with all local statutory laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
· Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and resolving audit queries efficiently.
4. Treasury & Working Capital Management
· Monitor daily cash flows, optimize working capital, and manage bank relationships.
· Review and authorize vendor payments, payroll disbursements, and employee expense reimbursements.
5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
· Manage, mentor, and build the capability of a small team of accounts executives/senior executives.
· Identify bottlenecks in accounting workflows and implement automated solutions or process improvements to enhance efficiency.
