Job Description: SMT Manager (Surface Mount Technology)Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on SMT Manager to oversee our SMT Production and Maintenance operations at our manufacturing facility in Kachwa, Karnal (Haryana). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in operating, programming, and maintaining high-speed automatic SMT lines, alongside strong leadership skills to manage manpower and optimize production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities1. SMT Production & Line Management
- Oversee daily SMT production operations to meet delivery schedules and quality targets.
- Manage end-to-end SMT Kitting work and ensure smooth transfer to Finished Goods (FG).
- Supervise material preparation, component verification, and inventory control on the shop floor.
2. Hands-on Machine Maintenance
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules for the entire SMT line to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and maintain manual and high-speed automatic machines, with specialized focus on:
- Pick & Place: Fuji (NXT-III)
- Solder Paste Printer: DEK
- SPI: Koh Young (KY8030-2)
- AOI: JUTZE
3. Machine Programming & Quality Control
- Develop, optimize, and debug programs for inspection systems to ensure zero-defect escape:
- AOI Programming: JUTZE system
- SPI Programming: Koh Young (KY8030-2)
- Specialized Profiles: XJS T-12 and XJS DOB-8 programming
- Oversee Visual Inspection protocols and utilize X-Ray Inspection Machines for BGA/critical component evaluation.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of SMT components (packages, values, and polarity).
4. Team Leadership & Manpower Handling
- Manage, train, and allocate line operators, technicians, and kitting staff effectively.
- Maintain discipline, safety standards, and optimal resource utilization on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to address real-time line bottlenecks.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Relevant hands-on experience in SMT Production & Maintenance management (typically 5 to 10+ years in electronics manufacturing/LED lighting assembly).
- Technical Mastery: Direct expertise in Fuji NXT-III, DEK printers, Koh Young SPI, and JUTZE AOI is mandatory.
- Programming Skills: Proven experience programming SPI, AOI, and specialized XJS profiles.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site at Kachwa, Karnal (Haryana).
