About the Role
ResQBag is a pre-launch food-tech startup on a mission to reduce food waste by connecting surplus food from restaurants and vendors with consumers. As a Founder's Office Social Media Intern, you'll work directly with the founding team to build and scale ResQBag's presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms during a critical pre-launch phase. This isn't a siloed content role — sitting in the Founder's Office means you'll get visibility into brand strategy, growth decisions, and the reasoning behind every campaign, while owning the day-to-day execution of our social media presence. Success in this role looks like a consistent, growing, and community-engaged social presence that's ready to support ResQBag's public launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the content calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms
- Schedule and publish posts, stories, reels, and carousels in line with brand strategy and content pillars
- Design or coordinate graphics for stories, carousels, and feed posts, maintaining visual consistency with brand guidelines
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and community engagement in a timely, on-brand manner
- Track platform performance (reach, engagement, follower growth) and share weekly insights with the founding team
- Collaborate directly with founders to translate brand vision and founder POV into scroll-stopping content
- Stay current on social media trends and platform best practices, and proactively suggest new content formats or campaigns
- Attend weekly team syncs to align on priorities and report progress
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree (any stream); students of Marketing, Mass Communication, or related fields preferred but not mandatory

- Strong understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn content formats (reels, carousels, stories)
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools)
- Excellent written communication and a good eye for tone and brand voice
- Ability to work independently and manage a content calendar with minimal supervision
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment with evolving priorities
- Reliable internet access and availability for ~20 hours/week on a flexible remote schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience running a personal brand, college society, or club's social media handles
