The Regional Manager - Perfume sales is responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, retail expansion, and overall business performance of the Perfumes portfolio. The role supports the Product Head in developing category strategies, managing retail execution, monitoring sales performance, strengthening brand visibility, and ensuring achievement of business objectives.
This position plays a key role in maximizing revenue, improving market share, enhancing product availability, and driving profitability across myG stores and partner channels. The incumbent will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Purchase, Finance, and Retail teams to ensure seamless execution of category plans and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Growth & Business Performance
- Drive overall sales growth and revenue achievement for Perfumes Products across all assigned locations.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase category contribution and market penetration.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective actions to address gaps.
- Support the Product Head in achieving annual sales, revenue, and profitability objectives.
- Identify opportunities for growth through new product introductions and channel expansion.
2. Product Category Management
- Monitor product-wise sales trends and recommend actions to improve performance.
- Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-performing SKUs and initiate corrective measures.
- Support product lifecycle management, including new launches, promotions, and phase-outs.
- Ensure adequate product depth and width across stores.
3. Retail Operations & Execution
- Ensure effective retail execution of category strategies across all stores.
- Monitor product placement, visibility, and display standards.
- Coordinate with store teams to improve conversion rates and attachment sales.
- Ensure availability of products in line with customer demand and sales potential.
- Conduct periodic market and store visits to assess business opportunities and operational effectiveness.
4. Sales Analytics & Business Reporting
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, business reviews, and performance dashboards.
- Utilize advanced Excel and MIS tools to generate actionable business insights.
- Monitor category performance through sales analytics and trend analysis.
- Present business performance reports and recommendations to management.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and demand planning exercises.
5. Brand & Vendor Coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and business partners.
- Coordinate with brands and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
- Support commercial discussions, pricing reviews, and business negotiations.
- Ensure timely resolution of product-related issues and supply challenges.
6. Promoter & Team Management
- Monitor productivity and effectiveness of promoters assigned to the category.
- Support recruitment, deployment, and performance evaluation of promoter teams.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Ensure promoters are adequately trained on products, sales techniques, and customer engagement.
- Drive accountability and performance culture within the team.
7. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences.
- Recommend strategic initiatives to improve competitiveness and market share.
- Share market intelligence with management and relevant stakeholders.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Purchase, and Retail teams.
- Support implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and operational execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve business challenges and improve performance.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Sales, Category Management, Retail Operations, or Business Development..
- Proven experience in managing sales performance, retail execution, and category growth.
- Experience in handling multi-location retail operations will be an advantage.
