Job Summary
The Habitat Suites is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate should have experience in hotel or commercial building electrical maintenance and be capable of ensuring the safe and uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems. The candidate must be willing to work 9-hour shifts, including night shifts, and respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of all electrical systems within the hotel.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, switchboards, DB panels, lighting fixtures, sockets, and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in guest rooms, public areas, kitchen, laundry, and back-of-house facilities.
- Maintain DG set, pumps, motors, electrical control panels, and emergency power systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of HVAC electrical components and coordinate with technicians when required.
- Replace defective electrical components and carry out routine inspections to prevent equipment failure.
- Attend emergency maintenance calls promptly, including during night shifts.
- Maintain maintenance logs and report major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and hotel maintenance procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to complete maintenance work with minimal disruption to guests.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Electrician or relevant electrical qualification.
- Minimum 1 years of experience, preferably in a hotel, hospital, or commercial establishment.
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work 9-hour rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
