Role Overview:
We are looking for a Product Merchandiser with strong exposure to the D2C ecosystem. The role involves owning the product journey end-to-end—from deep market research and insight generation to procurement coordination and successful product launches—while creating differentiated, customer-centric product experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct deep product and market research to identify new product opportunities, consumer insights, and innovation gaps
* Track trends and keyword demand across Indian and global markets to guide product strategy
* Identify consumer problems and translate them into clear, scalable product solutions
* Develop strong design understanding, ensuring product differentiation and brand alignment
* Act as a bridge between design, procurement, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution
* Manage the entire product lifecycle—from sourcing and procurement to sampling and launch
* Collaborate closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure quality, timelines, and cost efficiency
* Build compelling product experiences, focusing on usability, packaging, and customer delight
* Support go-to-market strategy with insights for positioning, pricing, and storytelling
Must-Have Requirements:
* Proven experience working in a D2C startup environment
* Department: NPD (New Product Development) – Looking for product/consumer goods merchandising experience, not fashion design/apparel background
* Strong understanding of consumer behavior, e-commerce, and fast-paced product cycles
* Hands-on exposure to product sourcing, vendor coordination, and launch execution
* Ability to work cross-functionally with design, supply chain, and marketing teams
* Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
