About the Role
Telawne Power Equipments Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and results-driven Assistant Manager – Transformer Production to oversee transformer manufacturing operations, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in power/distribution transformer manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day transformer production activities.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Lead and motivate production teams to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Testing, and Dispatch departments for smooth production flow.
- Monitor manufacturing processes including core assembly, coil winding, tanking, active part assembly, oil filling, testing coordination, and final finishing.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and manufacturing procedures.
- Analyze production data and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve performance.
- Optimize manpower utilization and machine efficiency.
- Support new product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain production records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Train and develop shop-floor employees to enhance skills and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10- 12 years of experience in transformer manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of power/distribution transformer manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with production planning, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices.
- Good understanding of quality systems and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is preferred.
