Job Purpose
To plan, coordinate, monitor, and control production activities to ensure timely completion of customer orders as per required quantity, quality, delivery schedule, and production capacity. The PPC Manager will coordinate with Production, Marketing/Merchandising, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, Dyeing, Finishing, Dispatch, and other departments to achieve smooth production flow and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Plan production according to machine capacity, manpower availability, material availability, and process requirements.
- Prepare production schedules for different departments and ensure timely execution.
- Prioritize urgent and critical customer orders.
- Balance production loads across machines and departments.
- Monitor production plans and revise them based on changing business requirements.
2. Production Control
- Monitor actual production against planned production on a daily basis.
- Identify production delays, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.
- Take corrective action in coordination with concerned departments.
- Ensure smooth movement of materials and semi-finished goods between processes.
- Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and minimize unnecessary accumulation.
- Follow up on pending production orders until completion.
3. Material Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials, yarn, chemicals, dyes, packing materials, accessories, and other requirements.
- Prepare material requirement plans based on production schedules.
- Identify material shortages in advance and escalate critical shortages.
- Ensure production is not affected due to material non-availability.
- Coordinate with Stores regarding material issue and consumption.
4. Order & Delivery Management
- Review customer orders and delivery commitments.
- Prepare order-wise production plans and delivery schedules.
- Track order status from raw material availability through production and dispatch.
- Ensure orders are completed within the committed delivery date.
- Highlight potential delays to management and concerned departments in advance.
5. Capacity Planning
- Analyze machine-wise and department-wise production capacity.
- Prepare capacity utilization reports.
- Identify overloading and underutilization of machines.
- Coordinate with Production and Maintenance departments regarding machine availability.
- Plan production considering machine breakdowns, maintenance schedules, manpower shortages, and holidays.
6. Coordination with Departments
Maintain continuous coordination with:
- Bleaching
- Dyeing
- Finishing
- Quality Control
- Stores & Purchase
- Maintenance
- Marketing / Merchandising
- Dispatch / Logistics
- Finance and Costing
Ensure all departments receive the required production information and priorities on time.
7. MIS & Reporting
Prepare and submit:
- Daily Production Plan vs. Actual Report
- Daily Production Status Report
- Order Pending Report
- WIP Report
- Machine Utilization Report
- Production Efficiency Report
- Material Shortage Report
- Delivery Schedule Report
- Production Delay / Bottleneck Report
- Monthly Production Planning Report
- Capacity Utilization Report
8. ERP / System Management
- Ensure proper updating of production planning and order status in SAP/MIS systems.
- Maintain accurate production data and records.
- Monitor production orders, material requirements, stock status, and completion status.
- Ensure system data matches actual production activities.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in production records.
9. Performance Monitoring
- Monitor production efficiency, productivity, capacity utilization, and order completion.
- Analyze reasons for production shortfalls and delays.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Improve production planning accuracy and reduce idle time.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and report performance to management.
10. Team Management
- Lead and supervise the PPC team.
- Allocate responsibilities among PPC executives/planners.
- Train team members on planning procedures, ERP systems, and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular review meetings with the PPC team.
- Ensure proper communication and follow-up within the department.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in PPC / Production Planning & Control.
- Experience in textile manufacturing, woven fabric, processing, dyeing, finishing, or garment manufacturing is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial / senior PPC position.

Overall Responsibility
The PPC Manager is responsible for ensuring “Right Order – Right Material – Right Machine – Right Time – Right Quantity – Right Quality – Right Delivery”, while maximizing production capacity and minimizing delays, WIP, idle time, and operational losses.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
