We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage our end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, and international trade financial management. In this role, you will be responsible for everything from day-to-day general ledger accounting to handling complex import/export documentation, foreign exchange processing, and trade compliance (EDPMS/IDPMS, Letters of Credit, and e-BRC).
Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Accounting & Financial Operations
- Maintain accurate day-to-day books of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform regular bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and balance sheet ledger reviews.
- Manage vendor payments, employee expense claims, and petty cash transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements).
- Assist in cash flow planning and budgeting activities.
2. Import & Export Financial Management
- Trade Documentation: Process and verify import/export invoices, Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin.
- Banking & Forex: Handle Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), Bills for Collection, and Direct Foreign Remittances (Inward & Outward).
- Forex Accounting: Calculate foreign exchange gains/losses and execute periodic balance revaluations in line with accounting standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Track and clear EDPMS (Export Data Processing & Monitoring System) and IDPMS (Import Data Processing & Monitoring System) entries in coordination with authorized dealer banks.
- Certificates & Incentives: Obtain Foreign Inward Remittance Certificates (FIRC) / e-BRCs, and track/claim export incentives (e.g., Duty Drawbacks, RoDTEP, or tax refunds).
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs house agents (CHA), and shipping lines to reconcile duty payments, freight invoices, and demurrage charges.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file periodic statutory returns, including GST (including export refund claims / LUT filings), TDS, and TCS.
- Ensure strict adherence to foreign exchange regulations (FEMA/RBI guidelines), trade policies, and customs laws.
- Prepare audit schedules and liaise with internal, statutory, and tax auditors during annual reviews.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- ERP Proficiency: Hands-on expertise in accounting software such as Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle, or ZIPERP.
- Trade Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.), international banking instruments (LC, TT, CAD), and customs duty structures.
- Advanced MS Excel: Proficiency in VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and financial reporting functions.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in cross-checking multi-currency transactions, shipping documentation, and regulatory forms.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for liaising with banks, customs authorities, freight partners, and foreign vendors/clients.
