Senior Software EngineerJob Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Microsoft technologies, distributed applications, microservices, and modern software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams to develop and release new applications, features, and enhancements.
- Design, prototype, and implement scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture, design, and implementation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain high-quality applications using automated testing and continuous integration practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development, testing, production, and post-release environments.
- Coordinate technical dependencies with other engineering teams.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, debugging, and system analysis.
- Follow software engineering best practices and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Work across modern and legacy applications and technologies based on project requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET/Core, SQL Server, and Entity Framework.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with Windows/Desktop applications and background Windows services.
- Hands-on experience with WinForms and VB.NET web applications.
- Experience with Git and Continuous Integration tools.
- Strong debugging and profiling skills for distributed systems.
- Experience with Unit Testing and System Integration Testing.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work on both modern and legacy technology platforms.
Good to Have
- Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of PL/SQL.
- Exposure to serverless development and deployment.
- Experience with containerization technologies.
- Understanding of IAM concepts such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID/OIDC, SSO, and MFA.
- Knowledge of financial concepts such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, or consolidation.
