Job Summary
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and quality control of all civil construction activities related to high-rise residential towers. The role involves coordination with consultants, contractors, MEP teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the project while maintaining quality, safety, and cost objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction Execution
- Supervise and monitor all RCC, Mivan shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing activities.
- Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction schedules.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure achievement of project milestones.
- Coordinate tower-wise and floor-wise construction progress.
- Verify line, level, alignment, and dimensions before execution.
Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare and monitor weekly and monthly construction targets.
- Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials, and subcontractors for uninterrupted workflow.
- Track critical activities and identify potential delays.
- Assist in preparation of project schedules and recovery plans.
- Maintain daily progress reports (DPRs) and progress dashboards.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure compliance with approved quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks for RCC works, waterproofing systems, masonry, and finishing works.
- Coordinate material testing and third-party inspections.
- Ensure closure of quality observations and NCRs.
- Maintain quality records and inspection checklists.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with subcontractors for civil, waterproofing, façade, and finishing works.
- Monitor contractor performance against timelines and quality requirements.
- Verify work quantities and measurements for billing purposes.
- Assist procurement team in technical evaluation of vendors and materials.
Material Management
- Monitor material consumption and wastage.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for timely material availability.
- Review material reconciliation reports.
- Ensure approved materials are used at site.
MEP & Finishing Coordination
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, firefighting, HVAC, and ELV teams.
- Ensure timely completion of MEP sleeves, openings, and embedded items.
- Coordinate finishing activities including flooring, doors, windows, painting, modular kitchens, wardrobes, and common area finishes.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with project safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections.
- Report unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions.
- Promote a safe working environment across all site activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain updated drawings, approvals, and site records.
- Prepare DPRs, weekly reports, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain records of RFIs, inspections, test reports, and approvals.
- Assist in preparation of BOQs, BBS, contractor bills, and work orders.
Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of RCC and Mivan construction methodology.
- Knowledge of waterproofing systems, façade works, and finishing materials.
- Ability to read structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ, BBS, rate analysis, and quantity verification.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and construction management software.
