Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDET to join our Platform Modernization team at GCC India. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our modernized platform by designing, developing, and executing robust automation frameworks and test strategies. You will work closely with development and DevOps teams to drive a quality-first approach throughout the software development lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced automated test frameworks and test suites for our modernized platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and product managers to understand system architecture, functional requirements, and technical specifications.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and scenarios for new features, integrations, and performance enhancements within the modernized platform.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, ensuring continuous feedback and early defect detection.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects, identify trends, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Champion best practices in software quality assurance, test automation, and performance testing across the team.
- Mentor junior SDETs and contribute to the overall growth and technical expertise of the QA organization.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to improve product quality and testability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and platform modernization.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Quality Assurance roles, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit).
- Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Go).
- Extensive experience with API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured, Karate).
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience testing cloud-native applications and microservices architectures.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and concepts.
- Expertise in Kong, Kafka , AWS.
- Should have understanding about Tibco EMS and Data power.
- Proficient with AI to drive migrations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Prior experience with platform modernization initiatives or migrating legacy systems is highly desirable.
