Job Title: PCB Design Engineer
Location: Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (On-site)
Position Type: Full-time
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer based in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, to join our hardware engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for schematic capture, component footprint creation, high-speed multi-layer PCB layout, and manufacturing package generation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including hardware design, mechanical, firmware, and local EMS/fabrication partners—to bring high-reliability electronic products from initial concept to full volume production.
Key Responsibilities
- Layout & Routing: Execute schematic capture, footprint creation, and multi-layer board layout using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Signal & Power Integrity: Design for high-speed differential signals, impedance matching, trace length tuning, power distribution optimization, and low-noise grounding techniques.
- DFM / DFA Compliance: Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Testing (DFT) guidelines to maximize production yield.
- EMI / EMC & ESD Protection: Implement layout strategies to mitigate electromagnetic interference, crosstalk, and ESD to clear regulatory compliance testing (FCC, CE, BIS).
- Manufacturing Deliverables: Generate and verify fabrication packages, including Gerber (RS-274X / ODB++), drill drawings, pick-and-place files, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Vendor Coordination: Work with domestic and international PCB fabricators and EMS suppliers to finalize board stackups, address Engineering Queries (EQs), and optimize costs.
- Library Management: Build and maintain schematic symbol and footprint libraries adhering to IPC standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on multi-layer PCB layout experience (4 to 8+ layers).
- EDA Tools: Proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, KiCad, or PADS.
- Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, USB, DDR, SPI, I2C), HDI techniques, and high-current power routing.
- IPC Standards: Working knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-7351, and general IPC class specifications.
- Lab Support: Ability to assist with physical board bring-up, debugging, and thermal/power verification using lab instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with rigid-flex designs and thermal dissipation strategies for power electronics or dense embedded hardware.
- Prior exposure to local component sourcing and EMS ecosystems within the Delhi-NCR region
