Key Responsibilities
Category Planning & Growth
- Develop and execute category growth plans aligned with overall business objectives
- Analyze market trends, customer demand, and buying behavior
- Identify growth opportunities within the assigned category
Assortment & Merchandising
- Finalize optimal product assortment (breadth & depth) for the category
- Ensure availability of top-performing and high-demand SKUs
- Coordinate with cataloging teams for accurate and high-quality listings
Pricing & Margin Management
- Define and implement pricing strategies (MRP/SP-based, discounts, dynamic pricing)
- Monitor margins, costs, commissions, and profitability
- Ensure pricing competitiveness while maintaining healthy margins
Vendor & Brand Management
- Onboard new vendors/brands and maintain strong ongoing relationships
- Negotiate commercial terms including commission, return policies, and marketing support
- Coordinate for stock availability, new launches, and exclusive offers
Marketing & Promotions
- Plan and execute category-level campaigns, deals, and seasonal promotions
- Collaborate with the marketing team to improve category visibility
- Track and analyze the performance of promotional activities
Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Monitor key metrics such as GMV, AOV, conversion rate, sell-through, and inventory health
- Identify slow-moving and fast-moving SKUs and take corrective actions
- Improve product discoverability and overall category performance
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, finance, tech, catalog, and customer support teams
- Coordinate with seller support teams for issue resolution and quality control
Brand Monetization
- Drive revenue through co-branded campaigns, sponsored listings, and banner placements
- Pitch marketing opportunities such as homepage banners, category sponsorships, and emailers
- Negotiate brand visibility fees and marketing budget contributions
Skills & Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of e-commerce category management
- Ability to manage vendors and negotiate commercial terms
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
