We are looking for an experienced Software Quality Engineer (SQE) with expertise in Semiconductor Equipment Software to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of equipment automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test strategy, automation, semiconductor communication standards, and working closely with global engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Define and execute comprehensive test strategies for semiconductor equipment software applications.

Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test frameworks.

Validate equipment software functionality, communication protocols, and factory automation workflows.

Collaborate with Software Architects, Developers, Product Owners, and Program Managers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

Review requirements, identify test scenarios, and develop detailed test plans and test cases.

Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.

Validate equipment communication using SECS/GEM and GEM300 standards.

Identify, track, and drive resolution of software defects while performing root cause analysis.

Participate in customer acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) and production release validation.

Drive quality metrics, continuous improvement initiatives, and process compliance.

Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality engineering best practices.

Work Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, with significant experience in the Semiconductor Equipment domain.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor equipment software architecture and factory automation.
- Hands-on experience with SECS/GEM, GEM300 (E30, E37, E39, E40, E84, E87, E90), equipment integration, and automation workflows.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, performance, and system testing.
- Experience with defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with global teams.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Test automation using C#, Java, or Python.
- Experience with API testing (REST/gRPC) and microservices.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, SonarQube, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments and virtualization.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
