Job Title: Quality Engineer – Machine Shop
Purpose:
To ensure the quality and precision of all machining operations by implementing quality standards, inspecting processes, and supporting continuous improvement in the machine shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements for machined components.
- Select appropriate processes and machines for component manufacturing.
- Monitor and ensure quality compliance on turning, milling, boring, drilling, and tapping machines.
- Conduct inspections and audits according to QMS (Quality Management System) standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of CNC, VMC, VTL, HBM, and drilling machines.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting machining and quality issues.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, deviations, and corrective actions.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 4 years experience in a Machine Shop environment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T principles.
- Expertise in process selection and machine selection.
- Hands-on experience with turning, milling, boring, drilling, and tapping machines.
- Familiarity with QMS standards and quality inspection techniques.
- Experience with CNC, VMC, VTL, HBM, and drilling machines.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with production, design, and quality teams.
Qualification:
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Reporting To: Machine Shop Manager / Production Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
