About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and practical Civil Engineer to oversee construction, maintenance, renovation, and infrastructure projects across our educational institutions and associated facilities. The ideal candidate should have strong site execution skills, contractor management experience, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Plan, supervise, and execute civil construction and renovation projects.
- Prepare project schedules, estimates, BOQs, and material requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports.
Site Management
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, consultants, and vendors.
- Verify measurements and certify contractor bills.
Maintenance & Infrastructure
- Identify and address structural, plumbing, drainage, waterproofing, and civil maintenance issues.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for school buildings and facilities.
- Recommend cost-effective improvements to existing infrastructure.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Source, evaluate, and manage contractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate rates and monitor contractor performance.
- Ensure work is executed as per agreed timelines and specifications.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, approvals, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations and safety norms.
- Assist in obtaining approvals from relevant authorities when required.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or building maintenance.
- Experience handling multiple projects independently.
- Strong understanding of estimation, costing, billing, and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project reporting tools.
- Valid driving license preferred.
