1. Scope of the role
Will be responsible for Execution of Tool Designs for Movement, Assembly & OEM Functions.
2. Job Profile
Ø Ensure adequate Input from customers to design the Tool.
Ø Design Press Tools, Jigs/Fixtures, Cutting tools, Gauges, Productivity Improvement devices to manufacture Movement components using Creo, Solid works & Auto CAD software.
Ø Co-ordinate with Product Design, Tool Room, PED, Manufacturing shops & other functions.
Ø Ensure the quality of design output.
Ø Maintenance & up-keeping of drawings/records at Tool Engineering Archives.
Ø Validate the Tool design for Manufacturability and good Tool Life.
Ø Conduct Design Reviews.
3. Key Deliverables
Ø Creo & Solid works 3D models & Engineering Drawings.
Ø Press Tools, Jig / Fixtures, Cutting tool, Gauge designs.
Ø Error free designs within scheduled time.
Ø Design solutions to solve shop floor issues.
Ø Tool designs for Productivity Improvement.
Ø Designs for Improved Tool life.
4. The right person
Ø Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with Post diploma in Tool design or Diploma in Tool & Die Making with 5.0 years of experience in tool design.
Ø Tool design Knowledge on Sheet metal Progressive Stamping.
Ø Press tool design knowledge on Terminals, connectors and Drawing parts.
Ø Hands on experience in Creo, Solid works and Auto CAD.
Ø Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
Ø Knowledge of processes at Precision parts manufacturing and Tool room would be an added advantage.
Ø Knowledge of Engineering Materials.
Ø Exposure in trouble shooting.
Ø Self motivated with Good inter-personnel skills.
Ø Urge to update knowledge on the latest soft wares & technologies available.
