Job Description:
1. Providing medical care: The Duty Medical Officer is responsible for providing medical care to patients. This includes diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions.
2. Emergency response: The Duty Medical Officer should be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to patients in critical condition.
3. Patient assessment: Conducting thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions, taking medical histories, and performing physical examinations to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
4. Prescribing medication: The Duty Medical Officer may prescribe medications to patients based on their diagnosis and medical condition.
5. Monitoring patients: Regularly monitoring the progress and condition of patients under their care, including reviewing test results, vital signs, and other relevant medical information.
6. Collaborating with healthcare team: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, specialists, and technicians, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
7. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records of patients, including their medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
8. Patient education: Providing patients and their families with information about their medical condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
9. Adhering to medical ethics and standards: Following ethical guidelines and professional standards in providing medical care, ensuring patient confidentiality, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
10. Continuous learning: Keeping up-to-date with the latest medical advancements, research, and best practices through continuous education and professional development.
