Job Title: Document Controller – Certification (Marine Industry)
Job Summary
The Marine Certification /Documentation Executive is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining calibration and certification documents for marine vessels. The role involves collecting inspection data from field engineers, entering equipment details and calibration values into certificate formats, ensuring accuracy of records, and issuing final certificates in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inspection reports, calibration data, and equipment readings from field engineers.
- Verify and record vessel details such as vessel name, IMO number, equipment description, serial number, and location.
- Prepare calibration certificates, inspection certificates, and service reports based on the data provided by engineers.
- Ensure all values, readings, and equipment information are accurately entered into certification templates.
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with client and company requirements.
- Maintain certification records, logs, and document databases.
- Coordinate with engineers to clarify missing or incorrect information.
- Manage document revisions and maintain proper version control.
- Issue final certificates to clients within agreed timelines.
- Archive and retrieve certification documents as required for audits and customer requests.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or BTech in any discipline (Engineering background preferred).
