DESIGNATION: Quality Inspector
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Perform visual inspection of pharmaceutical-grade products/materials as per approved SOPs and inspection standards.
· Identify and reject products with visual defects such as scratches, dents, cracks, discoloration, stains, contamination, foreign particles, improper finish, or any other unacceptable defects.
· Ensure inspected products meet the approved acceptance criteria before release.
· Segregate and label non-conforming products.
· Record inspection results accurately in batch records, inspection logs, and other quality documents.
· Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) while maintaining inspection records.
· Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and data integrity requirements.
· Report recurring defects and quality concerns to the QC Supervisor/QA.
· Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the inspection area.
· Handle products carefully to prevent damage during inspection.
· Participate in training and comply with all quality and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
· 12th pass with experience in Quality Control (QC) inspection
· Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in, Biotechnology, Microbiology or related field.
· Diploma/bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (D.Pharm/B.Pharm) or
· Diploma/Bachelor's degree in a relevant Science discipline
· 0–2 years: Freshers with relevant educational qualifications may be considered.
· 1–3 years preferred: Experience in visual inspection within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Skills:
· Good visual acuity and attention to detail.
· Knowledge of GMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
· Ability to identify visual defects accurately.
· Basic computer knowledge (MS Word and MS Excel).
· Good communication and documentation skills.
· Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
