Job description:
We are looking for a skilled Civil Site Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Mivan (Aluminium Formwork) systems for high-rise residential projects. The candidate must be capable of independently handling complete Mivan shuttering execution, planning slab cycles, and ensuring quality, safety, and speed of construction.
Important Note: Candidates having experience only in conventional shuttering (plywood/wooden/steel formwork) and no practical exposure to Mivan system should NOT apply.
Key Responsibilities
A. Mivan Shuttering Execution Execute complete Mivan shuttering works for: Shear walls, columns, slabs Lift cores, staircases, balconies Read and interpret Mivan shuttering drawings, GA drawings, and slab cycle plans Ensure proper: Alignment, line & level, verticality (plumb) Panel fixing, pin & wedge connections Tightness to avoid slurry leakage
B. Mivan Cycle Planning & Control Plan and achieve fast-track slab cycles (5–7 days per floor) Sequence activities: Reinforcement → MEP → Shuttering → Pour → De-shuttering Monitor: Panel movement and reuse efficiency Cycle delays and corrective actions
C. Quality Control (Mivan Works) Conduct stage-wise inspections: Before shuttering closure Pre-pour checks Post-pour inspections Ensure: Correct cover blocks, spacers, and embedments No honeycombing, leakage, or dimensional deviations Maintain: Checklists, cube test records, pour cards, DPRs
D. Concrete & Pouring Management Supervise: Concrete pouring using pumps Vibration, compaction, and finishing Monitor: Slump test, temperature, cube sampling Ensure proper curing practices for Mivan structures
E. De-shuttering & Material Handling Follow correct de-shuttering sequence and timing Prevent damage to: Panels, corners, and finished concrete surfaces Ensure proper stacking, cleaning, and oiling of panels for reuse
F. MEP Coordination (Critical for Mivan) Coordinate with MEP teams for: Electrical conduits, junction boxes Sleeves, inserts, blockouts Ensure all services are embedded before concreting Avoid rework by strict pre-pour clearance
G. Safety Management (Mivan System) Ensure: Deck safety, edge protection, working platforms Safe lifting of panels and materials Enforce: PPE usage Working-at-height safety practices Conduct toolbox talks for shuttering teams
H. Labour & Contractor Management Handle: Mivan shuttering gangs Helpers, carpenters, and supervisors Allocate manpower as per cycle requirements Coordinate with: Contractors, planning team, and site engineers
I. Documentation & Reporting Maintain: Daily Progress Reports (DPR) Slab cycle tracking reports Material consumption records Report delays and suggest corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred) OR Diploma with strong Mivan experience
Strong understanding of Mivan/Aluminium formwork systems
Experience Requirements
Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in high-rise construction
At least 2+ years of hands-on Mivan/Aluminium formwork experience (mandatory)
Must have worked on multiple slab cycles using Mivan system
Experience in full building cycle (G+10 or above) will be preferred.
Strict Criteria:
1. Candidates with only conventional shuttering experience (ply/steel/wood) will NOT be considered
2. Practical site execution in Mivan is mandatory.
