We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist senior chefs in food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene standards, and ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by senior chefs.
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, portioning, and basic food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management.
- Support the kitchen team during service periods.
- Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Follow recipes, kitchen procedures, and SOPs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred (freshers with culinary training may also apply).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
