The Social Infrastructure construction project Lead is responsible for leading strategic planning, design coordination, and end‑to‑end project execution for large‑scale residential/commercial developments. The role requires exceptional technical capability, strong construction execution experience, advanced software skills, risk & safety oversight, and the ability to present project updates to global leadership teams.
This position demands a proactive leader who can manage multi‑disciplinary teams, coordinate with all stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project execution strategies, sequencing plans, and milestone-based schedules.
- Forecast resource needs, prepare micro‑schedules, and track deviations.
- Analyse construction productivity, risks, and constraints to optimize timelines.
- Lead design coordination with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and global design partners.
- Identify design gaps, review shop drawings, and drive timely design clarifications.
- Ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of GFC drawings at site.
- Oversee daily construction operations and ensure adherence to specification, quality, and timelines.
- Guide engineers and contractors on construction methodology, technical solutions, and sequencing.
- Monitor progress, conduct inspections, and ensure zero‑defect delivery.
- Use project management and design tools such as:
- MS Project / Primavera P6
- AutoCAD, Revit / BIM tools
- Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Power BI dashboards
- Generate progress dashboards and digital reporting for leadership reviews.
- Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, planning, quality, safety) and external partners (consultants, contractors, authorities).
- Manage expectations of global leaders, clients, and senior management.
- Ensure smooth communication, conflict resolution, and timely decision-making.
- Identify project risks related to cost, safety, schedule, and design.
- Develop mitigation strategies and conduct periodic risk reviews.
- Implement corrective action plans and escalate high‑impact risks as needed.
- Enforce a strong safety culture with zero‑incident targets.
- Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and compliance verification.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to local and international safety standards.
- Prepare and deliver high‑quality presentations to global leadership, clients, and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
- Holds a BE in Civil Engineering, with a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification highly preferred.
- 20+ years of experience delivering integrated townships, ideally within major corporate houses.
- Directly collaborates with local architectural firms to finalize master plans, township layouts, and architectural blueprints.
- Manages day-to-day architectural coordination to resolve engineering design conflicts and ensure seamless site execution.
- Expertise in diverse contracting modes, including Turnkey, Design-Build (D&B), and separate item-rate trade packages.
- Aligns with internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and Operations to sync construction milestones with corporate goals.
- Ensures strict compliance with Assam building bylaws, zoning regulations, and local structural approval procedures.
- Acts as a technical advisor to the SCM team during high-value international contractor negotiations and vetting.
- Maintains comprehensive ownership of project budgets, driving value engineering, cost controls, and cash flow optimization.
- Enforces world-class Quality and HSE protocols while deeply resonating with Tata Group's values and ethical governance.
