Job Summary
The Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental and institutional development. The role requires academic excellence, industry awareness, and active participation in accreditation, research, and student development activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Delivery
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and practical training in Electrical Engineering subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessment tools.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, projects, presentations, and continuous assessment.
- Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enabled learning tools.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus and academic requirements.
Research & Publications
- Conduct research in relevant areas of Electrical Engineering.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals, conferences, and indexed publications.
- Apply for funded research projects, grants, and consultancy assignments.
- Guide students in research projects, dissertations, and technical competitions.
Student Mentorship & Development
- Mentor and counsel students regarding academic and career development.
- Support placement, internship, and industry engagement activities.
- Encourage participation in technical clubs, workshops, seminars, and competitions.
Academic Administration
- Participate in curriculum development and revision activities.
- Maintain academic records and documentation as per university norms.
- Contribute to accreditation processes such as NBA, NAAC, and other quality initiatives.
- Assist in admissions, examinations, and departmental events.
Industry Collaboration
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners.
- Organize industrial visits, guest lectures, workshops, and training programs.
- Facilitate industry-academia collaborations and consultancy projects.
Qualification & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering with First Class.
- NET/Ph.D. as per AICTE/UGC norms (preferred).
- Strong academic background and subject expertise.
