We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day shop-floor production activities in our PEB and structural steel fabrication facility. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower allocation, fabrication activities, quality coordination, safety and achieving production targets within scheduled timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production and shop-floor activities.
- Plan and monitor production according to project requirements and schedules.
- Manage fabrication activities for PEB and structural steel components.
- Allocate manpower and monitor workforce productivity.
- Monitor cutting, drilling, welding, fitting and other fabrication processes.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timeline.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Design, Stores and Project teams.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with the Stores department.
- Ensure fabricated components meet required quality standards.
- Identify production issues and take corrective action to minimize delays and wastage.
- Maintain daily production reports and records.
- Ensure proper use of machinery, tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping on the shop floor.
- Monitor employee discipline and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in PEB, structural steel fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Practical knowledge of steel fabrication and shop-floor operations.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting, drilling and fitting processes.
- Good manpower handling and team supervision skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at Murbad, Thane.
Preferred Experience
Candidates from PEB manufacturing, structural steel fabrication, steel structures, industrial fabrication or steel manufacturing companies will be preferred.
