We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary SAP ABAP BTP Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and traditional SAP ABAP capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP ABAP programming, extensive knowledge of SAP BTP services, and a proven track record in architecting complex enterprise solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures, guiding development teams and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Lead the architectural design and technical oversight for SAP BTP and ABAP-based solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
- Design, develop, and implement custom applications, extensions, and integrations on SAP BTP using various services such as Cloud Foundry, Kyma, CAPM, RAP, Integration Suite, and other relevant BTP tools.
- Provide expert guidance on ABAP development best practices, performance optimization, and adherence to coding standards for both on-premise and cloud-integrated solutions.
- Define technical specifications, solution blueprints, and roadmaps for complex SAP projects, including integration strategies with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and development teams to understand requirements and propose optimal technical solutions.
- Evaluate new SAP technologies, particularly within the BTP landscape, and recommend their adoption to enhance business processes and system capabilities.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship to junior developers, and ensure the quality and maintainability of developed solutions.
- Manage technical debt, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of existing SAP landscapes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all architectural designs and implemented solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert for SAP ABAP and BTP, staying abreast of the latest trends, updates, and best practices in the SAP ecosystem.
