Position: Quality Manager – HPDC (High Pressure Die Casting) Plant
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall quality activities in the HPDC manufacturing plant.
- Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and standards.
- Handle customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Lead quality systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 7 QC Tools, Why-Why Analysis, and Fishbone Diagram.
- Manage PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and tool room departments to improve quality performance.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap levels and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead internal and external audits and customer visits.
- Train and develop quality team members.
Required Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
- Experience in HPDC (Aluminum Die Casting) industry.
Experience:
- 8 to 15+ years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a managerial role in an HPDC plant.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HPDC process, casting defects, GD&T, drawing interpretation, and quality tools.
- Experience with automotive customers and OEM requirements.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
Preferred Industry:
