About the Role
Amity Global School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and experienced PYP Hindi Teacher to join its Primary School team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Hindi language teaching and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), with the ability to create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences for young learners.
The candidate will be responsible for developing students’ Hindi language skills while fostering communication, creativity, cultural awareness, and a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Hindi lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework and school curriculum.
- Develop students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Hindi.
- Design inquiry-based, learner-centred and experiential learning activities appropriate for primary-aged students.
- Integrate Hindi language learning with interdisciplinary units of inquiry wherever appropriate.
- Encourage students to develop confidence in expressing themselves in Hindi.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources, technology, and age-appropriate activities to support diverse learning needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessment methods.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain appropriate records of academic progress.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual learning needs and abilities of students.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with grade-level teachers, PYP coordinators, and other members of the academic team for curriculum planning and implementation.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, professional development programmes, and other academic activities.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources and enrichment activities related to Hindi language and Indian culture.
- Encourage students to appreciate Hindi literature, language, traditions, and cultural diversity.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hindi / Hindi Literature / Education or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience teaching Hindi at the Primary/Elementary level.
- Experience with the IB PYP curriculum/framework will be strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of child-centred and inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively use technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
- A creative, reflective, and collaborative approach to teaching.
