Job Title: Hospital Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
The Hospital Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, safety, and upkeep of all hospital infrastructure, equipment, and utilities. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, biomedical support systems, and general facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:1. General Maintenance
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance of hospital buildings and infrastructure
- Ensure all areas (wards, ICU, OT, OPD, pharmacy, labs) are well-maintained
- Carry out minor civil works (repairs, painting, carpentry, etc.)
2. Electrical Systems
- Maintain electrical systems including wiring, lighting, power backup, and panels
- Monitor DG sets, UPS systems, and ensure uninterrupted power supply
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and rectify promptly
3. Plumbing & Water Systems
- Maintain plumbing systems, pipelines, drainage, and water supply
- Ensure proper functioning of pumps, tanks, and water treatment systems
4. HVAC & Air Quality
- Maintain air conditioning systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems
- Ensure compliance with OT and ICU air quality standards
5. Equipment Support
- Assist in basic maintenance of hospital equipment (non-clinical and support)
- Coordinate with biomedical engineers for major equipment servicing
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to fire safety norms and emergency systems
- Conduct regular checks of fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits
- Support NABH compliance for facility and safety standards
7. Preventive Maintenance
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and utilities
- Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities
8. Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, AMC services, and inspections
- Supervise outsourced maintenance work
Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Maintenance Engineering
- Certification in HVAC or electrical systems (preferred)
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in hospital / healthcare facility maintenance
- Experience in handling multi-specialty hospital infrastructure is an advantage
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of hospital safety standards and NABH guidelines
- Ability to handle emergency breakdowns
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts (including night shifts if required)
- On-call availability for emergency maintenance

- Downtime of critical systems
- Response time to maintenance complaints
- Preventive maintenance compliance rate
- Safety audit scores

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
