Job Summary: The Bio-Medical Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and management of medical equipment to ensure smooth hospital operations and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, imaging systems, and diagnostic devices.
· Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance.
· Troubleshoot and repair faulty biomedical equipment.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance.
· Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and technicians regarding equipment usage and requirements.
· Train hospital staff on proper handling and usage of medical devices.
· Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases when required.
· Manage inventory and life cycle of biomedical equipment.
· Ensure proper sterilisation and safety protocols are followed.
Requirements:
· Degree/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or relevant field.
· Knowledge of medical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
· Good coordination and technical documentation skills.
