Job Summary
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment for children in Nursery, LKG, and UKG. The teacher will facilitate holistic development through play-based, activity-oriented, and child-centric learning methods while fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons, activities, stories, rhymes, and games.
- Develop foundational literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills.
- Use activity-based and experiential learning techniques.
- Prepare teaching aids, worksheets, and classroom resources.
- Integrate digital and audio-visual learning tools where appropriate.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Ensure discipline through positive reinforcement and child-friendly practices.
- Monitor students' attendance, behavior, and well-being.
- Promote hygiene, good manners, and healthy habits.
Student Development
- Observe and assess each child's academic, social, and emotional progress.
- Maintain student portfolios, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Provide individualized attention to children as required.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, confidence, and teamwork.
Parent Communication
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and regular feedback sessions.
- Communicate student progress, achievements, and concerns.
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians.
School Activities
- Participate in assemblies, celebrations, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
- Assist in organizing annual functions and special events.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline.
- NTT / ECCE / Montessori Training (preferred).
- B.Ed. (preferred as per school policy).
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Pre-Primary teaching.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
