As we continue to scale our global engineering capabilities, we are strengthening our Global Automation & PCS organization through a Global Business Services (GBS) model based in India.
We are now looking for an experienced Automation GBS Leader to build, lead, and scale our India-based Automation GBS organization—supporting capital projects and production sites worldwide while shaping a standardized, high-quality global delivery model.
In this role, you will lead and grow the India Automation GBS team , currently supporting our Patalganga (PAT) site, and evolve it into a globally integrated delivery hub for automation engineering and PCS services.
You will balance near-term execution excellence with long-term capability building , ensuring predictable delivery, strong governance, and alignment with global automation standards across Novonesis projects and sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop the India-based Automation GBS organization, including onboarding, capability growth, and team scaling (targeting ~20–25 colleagues by end of 2027).
- Ensure high-quality delivery of automation work packages across capital projects, with near-term priority on Patalganga (PAT).
- Establish and mature a Global Business Services (GBS) delivery model for repeatable automation engineering and PCS services from India to global projects and sites.
- Drive standardization and consistent application of Global Automation standards across deliveries.
- Provide governance, reporting, and stakeholder alignment across Global Automation/PCS leadership, project teams, IT/OT stakeholders, and receiving sites globally.
- Collaborate closely with global stakeholders across Europe (including Denmark), the US, and other regions, operating effectively across time zones.
This is a mixed operational, tactical, and strategic role , with a strong focus on execution, optimization, and scalable service design.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (required).
- 10+ years of relevant leadership experience in automation and/or engineering
