A. Procurement & Sourcing
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers for tea garden requirements such as fertilizers, pesticides, machinery, equipment, packaging materials, etc.
- Evaluate vendor quality, pricing, credit terms, and service performance.
- Ensure procurement of materials as per required specifications and compliance standards.
- Maintain a constant supply chain flow based on garden operational needs and seasonal cycles.
B. Cost & Negotiation
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Conduct market research and price comparisons to remain competitive.
- Analyze procurement costs and prepare cost-saving strategies.
C. Inventory Management
- Coordinate with the garden stores team to monitor stock levels.
- Ensure materials are available without overstocking or shortages.
- Implement proper inventory control measures.
D. Vendor Management
- Maintain healthy relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new vendors.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Resolve vendor issues related to quality, delivery, or payments.
E. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities for reporting and auditing.
F. Coordination & Support
- Work closely with the garden management team to understand operational requirements.
- Coordinate with the finance department for purchase approvals and vendor payments.
- Provide support during annual budgeting and planning.

4. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in tea gardens or agro-based industries
- Experience in vendor management and sourcing in rural/agricultural environments will be an added advantage
