Job Title: Duty DoctorJob Summary:
The Duty Doctor will provide round-the-clock medical care to patients, manage emergencies, and support ongoing clinical operations. They will work closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care during their duty hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary medical care to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases.
- Monitor and assess patients’ condition regularly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by specialists.
- Handle medical emergencies and stabilize patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Communicate with consultants and follow their instructions for patient management.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for smooth operations.
- Assist in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, ethics, and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license/registration.
- 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred (may vary depending on the employer).
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
