Role Overview
The Commis I – Chinese Kitchen is responsible for preparing and cooking Chinese dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation. The role involves independently handling assigned tasks within the Chinese section and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes such as noodles, fried rice, stir-fries, soups, sauces, and appetizers.
- Ensure dishes are prepared as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Handle wok cooking, sauce preparation, cutting, marination, and plating efficiently.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and food quality.
Kitchen Operations
- Manage assigned tasks within the Chinese kitchen section independently.
- Ensure proper mise en place is ready before service hours.
- Support smooth kitchen operations during peak service periods.
- Maintain proper handling and upkeep of kitchen equipment and wok stations.
Quality & Hygiene
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Follow proper food storage and FIFO practices.
- Ensure workstations and kitchen equipment remain clean and organized.
Inventory & Coordination
- Assist in stock management and ingredient requisition for the Chinese section.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient utilization of ingredients.
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
- 2–4 years of experience in Chinese kitchen operations.
- Good knowledge of Chinese cuisine and wok cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
