Since the hospital’s inception in 2009, we have served over 150,000 patients. The hospital had the best recovery rate of any hospital in the state of Odisha during the recent pandemic when it functioned as a dedicated COVID facility. KIDS Hospital has the most modern in-patient diabetes management service to handle critical complications arising from diabetes, and we are the State Government’s principal referral center for diabetes care.
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Store to oversee the hospital’s medical store operations with a strong focus on digital inventory management and interdepartmental coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day medical store operations, ensuring uninterrupted availability of medicines, consumables, and medical equipment.
- Implement and maintain digital inventory management systems to ensure real-time stock tracking and accuracy.
- Proficiently use MS Excel and store management software for stock recording, reporting, and analysis.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department for the preparation and processing of purchase orders, invoice verification, and vendor payment tracking.
- Liaise with the Biomedical Engineering Department to schedule equipment maintenance and ensure timely availability of spare parts.
- Enforce stock rotation principles (FIFO/FEFO) and compliance with hospital procurement policies and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain healthy supplier relationships.
Candidate Requirements
- 8–10 years of proven experience in medical store management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and procurement processes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with inventory/ERP software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
- Knowledge of biomedical equipment spare parts and maintenance processes will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
