We are urgently looking for a Shift Supervisor – Polymer Compounding with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in polymer compounding / masterbatch manufacturing.
The candidate will be responsible for managing shift production activities, operating and monitoring compounding processes, handling manpower, maintaining production quality and achieving shift-wise production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise complete polymer compounding production activities during the assigned shift.
- Operate and monitor twin-screw / extrusion compounding lines.
- Monitor process parameters such as temperature, screw speed, pressure, feeder settings and production output.
- Handle polymer raw materials, additives, fillers, pigments and masterbatch materials as per production requirements.
- Ensure correct material charging, mixing, extrusion and pelletizing processes.
- Manage and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor production targets, rejection, wastage and downtime.
- Identify process problems and coordinate with maintenance/technical teams for troubleshooting.
- Ensure product quality as per specifications and coordinate with the QC team.
- Maintain shift production reports, batch records and other required documentation.
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Conduct proper shift handover and communicate production issues to the next shift/team.
- Support continuous improvement, productivity improvement and reduction of material/process losses.
Mandatory Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant experience as Shift Supervisor / Senior Operator / Production Supervisor in Polymer Compounding or Masterbatch manufacturing.
- Polymer Compounding / Masterbatch industry experience is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with extrusion/compounding production.
- Experience with twin-screw extruders preferred.
- Experience handling manpower and production shifts.
- Good understanding of polymer materials and compounding processes.
- ITI / Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Plastic/Polymer/Petrochemical/Chemical Engineering or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Candidate should be willing to work in rotational shifts.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹37,000.00 per month
