Job Purpose
To ensure that all composite components and assemblies manufactured in the Composite Division meet customer specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and regulatory norms through effective inspection and testing activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesIncoming Material Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials such as FRP sheets, fiberglass mats, resins, gel coats, adhesives, fillers, and consumables.
- Verify material quality against approved specifications and standards.
- Maintain incoming inspection records and reports.
In-Process Quality Inspection
- Conduct stage-wise inspections during moulding, lamination, trimming, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality plans, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Monitor critical process parameters and identify deviations.
Final Product Inspection
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of composite parts and assemblies.
- Check surface finish, thickness, fitment, bonding quality, and appearance standards.
- Verify compliance with customer requirements before dispatch.
Quality Documentation
- Maintain inspection reports, check sheets, calibration records, and quality logs.
- Record and report quality defects and non-conformities.
- Support traceability and documentation requirements.
Non-Conformance Management
- Identify defects, segregate non-conforming products, and raise NCRs.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality Engineers for corrective and preventive actions.
- Verify effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities.
- Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Contribute towards reduction of rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
Required Skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings and inspection standards.
- Understanding of quality inspection tools and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of defect identification in composite products.
- Familiarity with quality documentation and reporting.
- Good observation and analytical skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, ERP systems preferred).
Preferred Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in Quality Inspection within Composite, FRP, Bus Body, Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Railway, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors.
- Experience in inspection of composite panels, moulded parts, roofs, front/rear masks, interior components, or structural assemblies will be preferred.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Composite Technology, or related field.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
