The Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Contracts Management will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract lifecycle management, from pre-award to post-award, ensuring legal compliance, risk mitigation, and optimal commercial outcomes. This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and administering complex contracts, particularly within large-scale projects. The successful candidate will drive strategic contract initiatives, manage a team, and act as a key advisor on all contractual matters to senior management and project teams.
- Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and finalization of various types of contracts, including EPC, O&M, vendor, client, and sub-contractor agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Develop and implement robust contract management strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and ensure compliance across all projects.
- Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on contractual interpretations, obligations, and potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and resolve contractual disputes, claims, variations, and change orders effectively, employing strong negotiation and mediation skills to protect the company's interests.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks associated with projects, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and statutory compliance requirements for all contracts.
