Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure:
- Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) , Excipients ,PM, QC chemicals and consumables,Engineering and maintenance spare parts
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA), warehouse, and finance departments.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company quality standards.
- Maintain procurement records and documentation.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Track market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical raw materials and packaging materials.
- Understanding of GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally ERP, depending on the company).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- Science (B.Sc.)
- Commerce (B.Com)
- MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is an advantage for career growth.
