Job Summary
The Junior Merchandiser will support the merchandising team in coordinating with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution of orders from development to shipment. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting customer requirements and delivery timelines.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist Merchandisers in handling customer enquiries, order processing, and daily merchandising activities.
- Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding product development and order status.
- Follow up on sample development, approvals, and buyer comments.
- Prepare and maintain Time & Action (T&A) plans and track order progress.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely execution.
- Assist in preparing product costing sheets and maintaining costing records.
- Coordinate with sourcing teams for fabrics, trims, and accessories as per buyer requirements.
- Ensure all buyer specifications, quality standards, and delivery commitments are communicated and followed.
- Maintain merchandising documents, purchase orders, approvals, shipment records, and related reports.
- Support quality inspections and coordinate with the Quality Assurance team during production.
- Follow up with logistics and shipping teams to ensure on-time dispatch of orders.
- Maintain regular communication with buyers regarding order updates and sample submissions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly merchandising status reports for management.
- Assist in resolving production or order-related issues under the guidance of senior merchandisers.
- Perform any additional merchandising and coordination activities assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Technology, Textile Technology, Apparel Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in garment/apparel merchandising.
- Fresh graduates with relevant educational qualifications and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coordination and follow-up abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
