We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mining Engineer with expertise in Short-Term Mine Planning and hands-on experience of advance mining software such as Deswik, Spry, Datamine etc. preferably in Deswik. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and executing short-term mining plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth mining operations in compliance with safety and production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of short term plans and schedule in mining software such as Deswik, Spry, Minex etc.
- Develop mine layouts, production schedules, haul road designs, dump plans, and mining sequences.
- Coordinate with geology, survey, production, and drill & blast teams for effective execution of mine plans.
- Monitor production activities and analyze plan versus actual performance.
- Ensure optimum utilization of mining equipment and resources.
- Support operational teams with technical guidance for achieving production targets.
- Prepare production reports, planning presentations, and operational MIS reports.
- Ensure all mine planning activities comply with safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular field visits to review operational progress and planning execution.
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvement and operational optimization.
Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Deswik CAD, Deswik Sched, Minex and mine planning tools.
- Strong understanding of short-term mine planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of various operations and production planning concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in short-term mine planning.
- Experience in open-cast or underground mining operations preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to Deswik software is mandatory.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Strong technical and operational understanding of mining activities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic mining environment.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Experience in production monitoring and mine scheduling will be an added advantage.
