To support our growing production needs, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchase Manager to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Purchase Manager to oversee all procurement activities for our factory. This role requires a candidate with strong expertise in both domestic sourcing and international imports. You will be responsible for acquiring high-quality raw materials (such as fabrics, foam, steel, and plastic components) at competitive prices, managing vendor relationships, and handling the entire import lifecycle to ensure our production lines run efficiently without interruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Import & Logistics Management: Manage the end-to-end import process for raw materials and machinery. Handle all import documentation, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bill of Lading (BL), and commercial invoices. Coordinate with freight forwarders and Customs House Agents (CHA) for timely clearance of goods.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and evaluate new suppliers, both domestically and internationally. Source materials such as fabrics, foam, steel, plastic components, and hardware.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain. Conduct regular performance reviews of vendors.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure the most advantageous terms for the company.
- Cost Management: Continuously analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and supplier costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising on quality.
- Quality Assurance Coordination: Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure all procured materials meet strict quality standards and address any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
- Procurement Planning: Work in close coordination with Production and Planning departments to understand material requirements and ensure materials are available per the production schedule.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a senior procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Import Expertise: Must have hands-on experience in handling imports, customs clearance procedures, and international logistics.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry Background: Experience in the furniture, automotive, or component manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of MS Office (particularly Google Sheets) and proficiency in using procurement software or ERP systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
- Key Skills: Exceptional negotiation capabilities, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
