The Executive – Stores is responsible for overseeing all store operations within the lubricant manufacturing/distribution environment. This role ensures efficient inventory management, timely material availability, proper documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position supports production, procurement, and logistics teams to maintain seamless operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Material Management
- Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, base oils, additives, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconcile variances.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
- Ensure FEFO/FIFO principles for material issuance, especially for lubricants and additives.
2. Store Operations & Documentation
- Supervise receiving, inspection, storage, and dispatch of all materials.
- Maintain records in ERP/software (SAP, Tally, Oracle, or other systems).
- Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), material issue slips, and daily stock reports.
- Ensure proper labeling, batch tracking, shelf-life monitoring, and documentation accuracy.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Dispatch, and Sales departments.
- Provide timely material issuance for production planning.
- Support logistics for outbound shipments and ensure timely dispatch of finished products.
4. Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all storage practices comply with industry standards and company SOPs.
- Follow safety protocols for handling lubricants, chemicals, drums, and hazardous materials.
- Liaise with QA/QC teams for material clearance, incoming inspection, and non-conformance handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized store layout with proper housekeeping and fire-safety measures.
5. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for optimization in inventory management and warehouse layout.
- Implement lean practices to reduce waste, damage, and excess stock.
- Support digitalization and automation initiatives in stores operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
- Additional certification in Warehouse Management or Logistics is an advantage.
Experience
- 6-7+ years of experience in store/warehouse operations.
- Experience in lubricant, chemical, manufacturing, or FMCG industries preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse practices and safety standards.
- Understanding of lubricant industry materials (base oils, additives, packaging, etc.) is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage manpower and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good documentation and record-keeping habits.
Reporting To
- Store Manager / Supply Chain Manager / Plant Head (as per organizational structure)
Work Environment
- Plant/warehouse-based role with physical oversight of storage areas.
- Requires adherence to PPE and safety guidelines.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
