We are looking for a Backend Python Developer to join our growing development team in Mohali. You will be responsible for building scalable backend applications, developing secure REST APIs, and maintaining high-performance web services using Python and Django. Working closely with frontend developers and project teams, you'll help deliver reliable and efficient software solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
- Design, build, and optimize secure RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Design and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and business logic.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Stay updated with modern Python technologies and backend development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in Python backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Python and the Django Framework.
- Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
- Knowledge of REST API design and development.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Redis, Celery, or background task processing.
- Basic understanding of React.js or Vue.js.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
