Job summary
We are looking for a competent Psychiatric Social Worker who helps patient deal with and understand their problems related to cognitive, emotional and social processes and thereby providing psychological support.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ø Assess and Identify Psychological and behavioral problems in patients
Ø Understand and explain thoughts, emotions, feelings and behavior of the patient
Ø History collection and conducting mental status examination
Ø Conducting regular individual and group counseling depending on the patients need
Ø Conducting individual and group therapy
Ø Conducting Family counseling
Ø Conducting lecture, motivational sessions and skill development training programme
Ø Documentation and reporting to other health care professionals

Ø Excellent teamwork skills
Ø Verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English and Tamil , other regional languages (optional)
Ø Maintain Confidentiality
Ø Good patience and problem solving ability
Qualifications
MSW ( M&P) degree candidates are eligible. A minimum of 2 years (Psychiatric Hospital Setup) of experience candidates can apply.
