- Audit & Compliance: Assist in statutory, internal, and tax audits by verifying vouchers, scrutinizing ledgers, and preparing accurate audit workpapers.
- Bookkeeping & Reporting: Maintain daily books of accounts, process month-end closures, and prepare vital financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow). [1]
- Taxation: Prepare and file GST returns, handle TDS deductions, and assist with corporate tax compliance.
- Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations and clear any reconciling items by identifying root causes of discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in internal controls and suggest actionable ways to improve financial workflows and mitigate risks.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (b.com). Professional qualifications like CA, CPA, or ACCA (or Inter-level) are highly preferred depending on the organization level.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in auditing or corporate accounting, ideally within a CA firm or corporate finance department.
Required Skills
- Technical: Advanced proficiency in Tally ERP, Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and accounting software.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST/Income Tax laws, and internal control frameworks.
