About the Role
Vardhaman Megatech Private Limited (VMT) is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and import-export compliance.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Tally ERP, GST, TDS, Income Tax, financial reporting, and import-export documentation and compliance. The candidate will work closely with the Accounts and Sales teams to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.This position involves regular work-related travel. Travelling is a mandatory requirement of the role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as required for business purposes
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory compliances.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely reconciliation.
- Handle import-export accounting, documentation, and compliance.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, consultants, and government authorities as required.
- Monitor sales and financial data through CRM and accounting systems.
- Coordinate with the Sales team to ensure accurate sales and financial reporting.
- Prepare bank, customer, vendor, and other account reconciliations.
- Assist management with financial information and MIS reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
- Support the Accounts team and ensure smooth and timely completion of accounting activities.
Requirements
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tally ERP.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Practical knowledge of Import-Export compliance and documentation.
- Experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and MIS.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates residing in or around Mumbai / within reasonable travelling distance of our Headquarters will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in a trading, distribution, retail, or import-export environment will be an advantage.
