Job Title: Medical Coordinator
Reporting to: Medical Director
Job Summary
The Medical Coordinator provides operational, and coordination support to the Medical Director, ensuring smooth functioning of the Clinical Services Department.
Operational Support
· Assist the Medical Director in monitoring departmental performance indicators.
· Compile data related to occupancy, ARPOB, clinical indicators, quality metrics, NABH/JCI requirements, and departmental reports.
· Support preparation of presentations for and as needed by the Medical Director.
· Maintain trackers for projects, audits, compliance activities, and strategic initiatives.
· Assist in NABH/JCI accreditation-related documentation and follow-up.
· Support coordination of audits, inspections, committee meetings, and corrective action tracking.
· Coordinate special projects, events, workshops, conferences, and consultant engagement activities.
· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical, administrative, and personnel information.
Meeting & Coordination
· Schedule and coordinate departmental meetings, consultant meetings.
· Ensure timely circulation of agendas, supporting documents, and minutes.
· Track action points and follow up with concerned departments for closure.
· Coordinate with consultants, department heads, nursing services, HR, operations, finance, quality, infection control, and biomedical departments.
· Prepare meeting agendas, minutes of meetings (MOM), presentations, reports, and follow-up action trackers.
· Provide administrative support during hospital inspections, accreditation visits, and management reviews.
Additional Responsibilities
· Perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Director.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
· Additional certification in hospital administration or healthcare management will be an advantage.
Experience
· Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in hospital administration, executive assistance, medical administration, or a similar role.
· Experience in a multispecialty / tertiary care hospital preferred.
· Exposure to NABH/JCI accreditation processes is desirable.
